Karla works closely with Managing Directors to support relationships with investees, including facilitating the development of scaling plans and providing counsel on execution. She also helps to source and conduct due diligence on new investment opportunities and collaborates on innovation initiatives to expand Blue Meridian’s work, with a focus on Nationwide Solutions.
Previously Karla worked at the Jewish Communal Fund, a donor-advised fund managing $1.7 billion in charitable assets for over 3,500 funds. During her tenure she was promoted to several positions, finally serving as Assistant Director of Grants Research. Her responsibilities included overseeing compliance and due diligence processes, assisting in the facilitation of grants totaling over $435 million to organizations across the U.S. and internationally, and providing counsel to donors and nonprofit partners. Karla has also provided consulting support to help New York City nonprofits serving low-income communities develop funding strategies and create performance measurement and impact evaluation systems.
Karla earned a BS in Marketing from SUNY College at Old Westbury and an MPA from NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
