“Betsy Lambert, a program director for Youth Villages, said the program can provide a unique look into the possible cause of a youth’s poor mental health.
‘We’re going into the homes with these families, with their youth being able to just really identify what all is happening,’ Lambert said. ‘It’s able to give an opportunity to see maybe like the whole picture and to be able to work and try to identify where can we reduce the stressors, what’s happening at the school, what’s happening in their community? Where can we help strengthen and support these families?’
