McKenzie Bennett

Portfolio Manager

McKenzie contributes to Blue Meridian’s investee selection process, supports individual investee relationships including developing scaling plans and helps assess investee and portfolio-wide performance. Working closely with Managing Directors, she also collaborates on innovative initiatives to expand Blue Meridian’s work, with a focus on The Studio @ Blue Meridian.

McKenzie brings experience working in philanthropy, project management, public health, and development with domestic and global constituents in both the private and nonprofit sectors. Prior to joining Blue Meridian, she was the Associate for the Child Well-being Program and the African Health Initiative at the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. She also previously worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Care and Protection of Children (CPC) Learning Network, and as a graduate-level Teaching Assistant at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University.

McKenzie received her BA in International Relations and French Studies from Dartmouth College and her MPH from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University, where she also received a certification in Child, Youth, and Family Health.
