Lowell contributes to Blue Meridian’s investee selection process, supports individual investee relationships including developing scaling plans and helps assess investee and portfolio-wide performance. Working closely with Managing Directors, he also collaborates on innovative initiatives to expand Blue Meridian’s work, with a focus on The Justice and Mobility Fund.
Previously, Lowell was a Portfolio Manager at IFF, a Community Development Financial Institution in Chicago, where he managed a $100M nonprofit portfolio across the Midwest to create opportunities for low-income communities and people with disabilities in the areas of health care, education, accessible early childhood education and care, affordable housing, and access to fresh and healthy food. Prior to that, he was a Senior Portfolio Management Analyst at Urban Partnership Bank, a community development bank, where he managed a nonprofit portfolio to promote economic and environmental sustainability in the distressed and underserved areas of Chicago, Cleveland, and Detroit.
Lowell earned his BA in Human Geography from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Duke University, where he served on the Board of Advisors and was a Garda Merit Scholar.
